Head of Quality Management

Cerence are seeking a proven senior leader to head the company’s automotive Quality Management strategy. As the Head of Quality Management, you will drive for continued improvements in the Organizational and Project maturity for our customer projects, and manage all aspects of Quality, both internally and externally.

This role will involve effecting change across the business and for leading names within the automotive industry, with regular engagement with the Cerence Executive Leadership team, the role has great responsibility and ownership.

You will inspire your globally distributed team of quality managers who support projects according to Automotive SPICE, ISO 9001 and similar standards.

Responsibilities:

• ·Lead the global Quality Management Team
• ·Define and monitor quality relevant KPIs for product and engineering processes for the company
• ·Define methods for design verification, validation, approval and advance quality planning
• ·Develop and propose global Quality Management strategy and planning
• ·Consult in analysis, definition, implementation of processes
• ·Drive initiatives for optimization of processes
• ·Provide expertise to project teams, management, sales teams about quality standards and requirements
• ·Ensure implementation of Quality Management Tools, CSAT surveys, lesson learnt activities
• ·Perform, prepare, or assist with Automotive SPICE assessments
• ·Execute on process quality improvement action plans
• ·Report process maturity and quality management status and progress to executive Management

Qualifications:

• ·minimum 8 years experience in Automotive SW Development
• ·Quality related working experience, including quality leader experience
• ·Experienced in set up of quality-management system, quality assurance acc. to ISO 9001
• ·Experienced in Automotive standards (ASPICE, CMMI)
• ·Excellent German and English skills
• ·Good communication skills, customer-oriented, team player, proactive and efficient, expert in quality tools and methodologies
• ·Entrepreneurial drive and thinking
• ·Enthusiasm, curiosity, openness to new and challenging tasks and experiences, holistic view, result oriented
• ·Ability and willingness to travel internationally for short periods of time.
• ·Knowledge in general SW development processes (Project Management, Requirements Management, SW Engineering, SW Testing)
• ·Knowledge in SW Engineering methods (Waterfall, V Model, agile or similar)

Preferred Skills:

•  
• Agile SW development frameworks (SCRUM, KANBAN)
• Assessor qualifications (Spice, ISO9001)

Education: Study of Automotive Engineering, Information Technology, Project Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration and Management
